Satisfy your curiosity about clay! Come get your hands muddy in this fun and in-depth introduction to throwing clay on the pottery wheel! This 5-week class will provide hands-on instruction covering the fundamentals: wedging clay, centering, opening, pulling up, and shaping your pots. You will work with low-fire clay, learn about the stages that clay goes through - wet to leather-hard, bone-dry, how to use hand tools for trimming and creating texture on pots and to decorate and glaze your ceramic work for the final firing.
