This 180 hour course was developed by the Maine State Board of Nursing to prepare students for a career in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The course consists of 90 hours in the classroom, 20 hours of lab practice, and 70 hours clinical work in skilled nursing and long-term care.
The class will meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Beginning March 24 through June 11.
Information night is February 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Gorham House, 50 New Portland Road, Gorham. Interested candidates must complete an application, take a TABE reading test and attend an interview. Dates for interviews will be announced at the information meeting.
